COVID-19 Response

Our Response to COVID-19

Due to COVID-19, NWREI has shifted to a hybrid model of instruction. Students will start their training online, then come to campus for labs and other hands-on activities.

December 8 Update:
Northwest Renewable Energy Institute continues to follow guidance by Washington State Governor Inslee.  We are conducting remote class lectures and small lab classes on campus while practicing 6 foot social distancing and wearing masks. All students are required to complete a daily health form prior to attending lab classes.

September 28 Update:
We continue to teach lab classes on campus in compliance with Washington State Governor Inslee’s Phased Approach. Classroom remains online at this time.

Current students, please check your email for additional information.

Is Online Learning as Good as On-campus Learning?

Students who receive training delivered online will receive the same high-quality education that they would if they were on campus. The online portion of the curriculum is limited to the theory and knowledge work which does not require lab work.

Students will also have access to student services such as tutoring and career services support during the period of online learning.
